A life where food is just food and your body is just your body–ordinary, flexible, and emotionally uncharged–is possible.
The restrict, binge, guilt, and shame cycle ends here
One thing is clear: You don’t like this hold that food and how you feel about your body has over you…and know there’s something deeper going on here.
And then there’s your body.
But you’re not entirely sure what it is or what the way out looks like.
After a lifetime of hearing messages that thinner is better, healthier, more attractive, or more worthy, maybe you’ve spent a lot of your life chasing thinness and believing that if you could just get your body to a certain size, you’d finally feel good enough.
You might find yourself grimacing at the thought of taking pictures, hesitating to wear the outfit you really want, or thinking that you’ll finally feel better about yourself when your body changes.
You find yourself thinking about that bag of chips you ate yesterday, what you’re going to eat or not eat today to make up for it, or whether you can trust yourself to stop eating that other snack once you start.
Maybe when life gets hard–when you’re feeling stressed about work or everything you have to get done around the house, overwhelmed by difficult emotions like grief or loneliness, or you’re just having a bad day–food is a way for you to cope.
Emotional eating may bring you some comfort in the moment, but afterwards, you’re left wondering why something as normal as eating feels so complicated for you.
Maybe you’ve gotten used to food taking up way too much mental space inside your head.
And I’m here to help.
Let me tell you that freedom from the food and body image merry-go-round is possible.
What you want is to understand what’s actually happening inside your body when it comes to food, figure out how to untangle the relationship you have with eating and managing difficult emotions, and look in the mirror and love what you see.
- Restrictive dieting

I know you’ve tried a lot to climb over the big mountain of food and body image and that you’ve been disappointed before.

TUESDAYS FROM OCTOBER 20 - DECEMBER 22, 2026 4PM-6PM
BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA
SELF-PACED COURSE OPTION AVAILABLE
The science-backed, intuitive eating programme for women who want to break free from the binge-and-restrict eating cycle without more diets, willpower, or shame and find the freedom to eat, move, and live how they want.
By Dr. Meredith MacKenzie
“I’ve struggled with binge-eating and restricting and over-emphasizing the value of being thin for my whole life…and I eventually got to a point where I was just fed up. "
- Andrea, past member
of One Body to Love
"I have more confidence and better self-esteem. I’m able to look in the mirror and love myself and my body. I even wore a bikini to the beach and enjoyed the sun! I’ve also reduced my binge-eating a lot. Even on occasions where I do slip up or overeat, I have much more self-awareness and empathy for myself that I can curtail it and get back to normal.
One Body to Love is so supportive. The most healing part is being surrounded by other women going through the same things.”
"The grief of my mother’s passing was making my habits even worse. I would obsess over how much I weighed, what I ate every day, and how much I exercised. Food and being thin took up so much of my thoughts that it prevented me from thinking about anything else going on in my life. I really wanted to separate my self-worth from what my body looked like and reduce my binge-eating.
I tried reading books and going to therapy, but felt dismissed when I brought up my disordered eating because I’m in a bigger body. No one seemed to see any red flags and it was hard to find the right support, until I found One Body to Love.
Signing up was one of the best things I’ve ever done, even though it was kind of scary to face all of these difficult emotions I was having."
This isn't a weight loss programme about "mindful eating" or "portion control."
It’s not about counting calories, limiting “bad” foods, or conforming to someone else’s way of living.
It’s a programme that leverages science-based principles, real lived experience, and intuitive eating to help you create peace with food, with your body, and with yourself.
REGISTERED CLINICAL COUNSELLOR AND FORMER BINGE-AND-RESTRICT EATER
Dr. Meredith MacKenzie
Meet
I’m a specialist who’s studied eating disorders (binge eating, specifically) for years...and I’ve also experienced it myself.
My teen and early adult years were rooted in Slim Fast and Nutrisystem advertisements and an explosion of body makeover-themed reality television shows.
For years, I was under the spell of diet culture and deep in patterns of disordered eating that eventually turned into binge eating.
From my own recovery, to providing therapy for women in eating disorders programs and studying to become a Certified Intuitive Eating Counsellor under the Evelyn Tribole (you know, the woman herself who developed the intuitive eating framework), you could say helping women overcome binge eating is my thing.
I’m here to help women who are desperate to stop binge eating find peace with themselves, their bodies, and with food without all the guilt and shame.

"My eating behaviour reached what I felt to be a crisis point during the pandemic. I was hitting rock bottom and using food to cope with things that felt really difficult in my life and knew I was harming myself."
–Jamee, past member of One Body to Love
I liked that I could talk openly and honestly about my struggles and progress with other women who got it. I finally felt like I wasn’t alone.”
I liked that I could talk openly and honestly about my struggles and progress with other women who got it. I finally felt like I wasn’t alone.”
"I did not think I would be able to look at myself in the mirror and feel peace. Or like I feel great in this outfit or that I’m good in my skin. Or that I don’t need to live up to the thin ideal. But thanks to One Body to Love, I’m now taking a different path. I’m happy about that and I feel joy about being who I am again."
"I knew I couldn’t keep living this way…I just didn’t know what the solution to that was. Meredith is a huge piece of my healing, but so was the group environment inside the programme.
"At first, I did what most people do: go on a diet. But as I got older, diets stopped working for me and I felt like I was emotionally falling apart. I couldn’t look at myself and not feel shame. So I looked for an out-patient program for women with binge-eating disorder, but I couldn’t find one.
Then, I discovered Meredith on YouTube and finally felt like I found someone who really got what I was experiencing. She seemed to understand the disorder from the inside out."
Wants to work with someone clinically trained to support her, not just be coached from someone’s lived experience alone
Is ready to look beneath the food and behaviour to understand the deeper emotional and psychological patterns driving her behaviour
Wants to be in community with other women who get it and share a similar lived experience
Is ready to commit to a weekly, structured learning and action-taking experience for 10 consecutive weeks
Is eager to unsubscribe from diet culture and quick fixes, but doesn't know what else to do instead
Has already tried dieting, therapy, and/or self-help and still feels stuck
Is craving peace and to end the internal fight between food and her body
Wants to stop postponing life (photos, the beach, social events, buying clothes she likes) until she "feels better" in her body
Wants to eat food without it becoming a thing she has to justify or feel shame about
Feels stuck in the binge-restrict cycle–the one who’s "good" all day, but finds herself losing control at night–and is exhausted by it
One Body To Love is for the woman who...
Wants a “quick fix” or immediate results when it comes to her relationship with food and her body
Isn’t open to participating with other women in a shared group format
Can’t commit to showing up and participating in the full 10-week programme experience
Isn’t ready to let go of dieting yet and is hoping for a program that will give her a stricter plan or more control
Is prioritizing weight loss rather than healing her relationship with her body and with food
Is experiencing an active eating disorder crisis requiring medical monitoring or a higher level of clinical support
One Body To Love is not for the woman who…
I want to be honest with you: One Body To Love isn’t going to magically “fix” everything that feels hard about your relationship with food and your body.
And that’s because you’ll always be a human and life will always happen.
I can’t sit here and say you’ll never struggle with food again and never have another difficult body image day.
However, what can change is how you understand yourself, how you respond in difficult moments, and how quickly you’re able to come back to yourself when things feel hard.
What You Can Expect After You Finish The 10-Week One Body to Love Programme
WILL I REALLY CHANGE?
You understand that you don’t have to wait for a different body or a perfect relationship with food to participate fully in your life
You may still have moments when you don't love what you see, but know your body doesn’t have to determine how you feel or whether you’re allowed to enjoy the moment
Food may still cross your mind, but it doesn’t take up the same mental and emotional space it did once before
You can notice what happened without feeling guilt, shame, or the need to restrict and get back to your normal eating more easily
You start to recognize when you’re using food to cope and have more tools for slowing down, checking in with yourself, and figuring out what you really need
After One Body to Love
You eat more than you wanted and immediately think, “I’ve blown it. I need to get back on track.”
let yourself feel good
You’re waiting for your body, your eating habits, or your life to be “fixed” before you let yourself feel good
You look in the mirror and immediately focus on what you wish looked different
You’re constantly thinking about what you ate, what you should eat, whether you can trust yourself around food
Before One Body To Love
You’re having a difficult day and you find yourself reaching for food without really knowing what you’re feeling
You can enjoy a snack at the end of the day without losing control and feeling ashamed.
You can look in the mirror and see more than what you don’t like about your body.
You can honour yourself and your hunger by eating what you want, how you want, without guilt or shame.
I WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT IT’S STILL POSSIBLE FOR YOU TO FIND FREEDOM WITH FOOD.
No, One Body to Love has a no-refund policy.
When One Body to Love wraps, you’ll have access to the course materials and call recordings for one year to support you as you continue navigating your relationship with food and your body. You’ll also be invited to the programme Facebook Group to stay connected with past and current members.
Both. This isn’t a program based on my lived experience alone. You’ll learn the science behind why you feel the way you do and behave the way you do around food and your body, based on established research and evidence-based approaches to eating disorders and disordered eating.
I’ve also experienced binge eating myself. That lived experience gives me an additional understanding of what it’s like to live through the very struggles we’ll be talking about.
I’m a therapist with a PhD who has formally trained in eating disorders and spent years studying and working with binge eating specifically. And I’ve experienced an eating disorder myself.
That means I understand what you’re going through from both a clinical and personal perspective. I understand the science and psychology behind binge eating and disordered eating, but I also know what it’s like to experience these struggles from the inside.
You don’t have to choose between clinical expertise and someone who truly gets it. With me, you get both.
One Body to Love is intentionally kept small so the space stays safe and comfortable for everyone in it.
You’re free to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. There’s no pressure to participate in a specific way. This is your process.
Yes! If you don’t have extended health benefits, you’re welcome to pay for the program directly. Payment plans are also available.
Depending on your insurance plan, we may be able to direct-bill on your behalf. Coverage and direct billing availability vary by provider, so it’s best to check directly with your plan to confirm what’s covered.
Each week’s group call takes what we cover in that week’s education module and brings it to life. It’s not a repeat of the lecture, but personalized support for whatever challenges have come up for you that week. We will apply what you’re learning to your actual life. You can ask questions, share your own insights and experiences, seek support, and offer feedback to others.
Ten weeks won’t erase a lifetime of patterns overnight…and that’s not what I’m promising you inside this programme. What you can expect to experience is less noise around food, more trust in your body, fewer nights of eating that end in feelings of shame, and a clear sense of what continuing that work looks like from there.
Binge eating is where a lot of women start, but the programme goes deeper into the root causes of it like food guilt, emotional eating, body image, and your relationship with movement and nutrition. It’s built to address the whole pattern, not just one symptom of it.
Yes! In fact, if you’re already doing your own individual work, this program tends to complement it well rather than duplicate it.
Therapy and this program aren’t meant to compete with each other. They can actually work really well together! This program gives you structured, weekly, food-and-body specific support and community that most individual therapy doesn’t have space for. Many women do both.
If you’re spending real mental energy on food (thinking about it more than you want to, feeling out of control around it, or exhausted by managing it), that’s enough. You don’t need to hit some threshold of “bad enough.” Please note that if you are experiencing an active eating disorder crisis requiring medical monitoring or a higher level of clinical support, this programme is not for you.
Coverage varies by plan, but many extended health benefits in BC include counselling or therapy services, which this programme qualifies under. The best way to know for sure is to check directly with your provider before enrolling. I’m happy to give you the details you’d need to ask them. If your insurance doesn’t cover the cost of the program, payment plans are available.
Every group member gets a free 1:1 call with me at the start of the programme to build a personalized plan for how you’ll move through the 10 weeks. While the ongoing weekly support happens in a group setting, your experience will still be tailored to you from Day 1.
If the live 10-week programme doesn’t work for you right now, there is a self-paced option available with video modules you can watch on your own time. I may also run another live cohort in 2027 if you’d rather join us live at a later time.
I know life happens. All of the calls will be recorded and uploaded to a secure platform. If you miss a live session, you can watch it on your own time to stay caught up with the group.
I know how frustrated you must be feeling. In my experience, things like dieting and self-help books haven’t helped because they’re just another way to try to “control” a problem that requires looking at a deeper root cause. Traditional talk therapy may not have gone deep enough, either.
One Body to Love focuses on intuitive eating, which is fundamentally different from dieting. It’s a complete mindset shift around food, not another set of rules. This programme offers tools to help you understand why you behave the way you do and shift your mindset around the role food and your body plays in your life so you can find real freedom from what’s holding you back.
This programme follows an intuitive-eating, weight-neutral framework focused on transforming your relationship with food. It may not be right for you if weight loss is your primary goal.
If you feel distressed about your relationship with food and even 1% of you dreams about living a life without dieting, counting calories, or emotional over-eating, you’re in the right place. This is exactly who One Body To Love was created for.
The programme takes place online, so you don’t have to live in BC or Canada to join. However, if you live elsewhere, please note that the programme may not be covered by your insurance provider.

I had a lot of anxiety around how I showed up in front of my kids around that subject, and about my body confidence in general. I even wondered if I should take a GLP-1.
When I found Meredith, we clicked right away. The more I learned about One Body to Love and her intuitive eating approach, the more I realized it was everything I wanted to experience. I was also drawn to the idea of going through this journey like-minded women who could relate to what I was going through.

I really wanted to walk away with being able to listen to my body and listen to what’s actually going to make me feel good. I’ve definitely been able to do that since finishing the programme.
I felt very proud of myself for signing up and committing the time to myself, and I wanted to accomplish more body positivity and take away the negative thoughts about my body and eating.”
"Emotional eating used to be very prominent for me, especially because my lifestyle is so busy.
I know you’ve been disappointed in your journey to healing your relationship with food and your body before.
And I know this road isn’t easy, from both my personal journey with disordered eating and experience as a therapist supporting women just like you.
But you’ve done hard before.
You don’t have to keep fighting yourself anymore.
inside One Body To Love.
I’d love to walk that road with you
I’d love to walk that road with you
If you’re ready to stop fighting yourself and start building a different relationship with food, your body, and yourself,
You’re worthy because you are you.
Not because you let your tummy grumble this morning, made it to Pilates, or because you ate “perfectly.”
You are worthy.
And I’ll stand firmly on this while you work through One Body To Love with me:
I want to call BS on that.
I hear you talk about wanting to lose weight or stop your sugar cravings. I see you caught in that mental spiral at night, wondering whether opening that bag of chips will ruin everything.
I can give you strategies for those moments. But if we want things to truly change, we have to look beneath the surface and untangle the beliefs, emotions, and experiences that have made food and your body feel so complicated in the first place.
You know you’re a wonderful, worthy person. And yet somehow, how you feel about yourself can still come down to how “fat” you feel today, how tight your pants are, or how much you ate at your last meal.
And at this crossroads, I want to invite you to take a different path with me.
