Ashley Greensmyth, MCP

Registered Clinical Counsellor & EMDR Therapist

Ashley is passionate about helping millennials learn to thrive. In her practice as a therapist, she has seen how therapy helps people move from feeling stuck to finding new ways to move forward in life. She believes that increasing self-awareness unlocks new behaviour patterns that move towards a balanced and purpose-filled life.

Ashley Greensmyth is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (#15428). Her continued training is focused on techniques to build healthy relationships. She is an EMDR therapist (Eye Movement Reprocessing and Desensitization) and is trained in Lifespan Integration. Ashley is also trained in the Gottman Method for couples and couple workshops.

Ashley’s holistic approach considers how a each person’s experience impacts their relationships and movement toward personal goals. Her Adlerian perspective links the past to the here-and-now, providing space for reflection, processing, and working through concerns that arise over the course of therapy. Ashley believes in meeting clients where they are at, creating attainable goals, integrating personal experiences, and making therapy a safe space. Her practice is body, race, gender, sexuality and ability inclusive.

Ashley is passionate about helping others feel more connected to themselves, others and the world around them. Outside of the counselling realm, Ashley enjoys the outdoors, camping, her pets,  podcasts, doodling with procreate, reading and watching films.
